General Questions
What is the Institute of Modern Beauty?
The Institute of Modern Beauty is a specialized beauty school focused on Esthetics, Advanced Esthetics, Permanent Makeup, Cosmetic Injectables, Eyelash Extensions, Chemical Peels, Microneedling, and Advanced Skincare Training. Everything we do is built around hands-on, career-focused education that prepares students for the real demands of today’s beauty and aesthetics industry.
Why choose the Institute of Modern Beauty?
A few things set us apart. We specialize in esthetics and advanced esthetics rather than trying to be everything to everyone, which means the curriculum, the instructors, and the facility are all built around what actually matters in this field. Class sizes are kept small on purpose. Instructors bring real industry experience into the classroom. And many of our programs include advanced certifications that other schools charge extra for. Students also consistently mention the support system here as something they didn’t expect but came to rely on.
Esthetics Program FAQs
How long is the Esthetics Program?
The program runs 20 weeks and is delivered in a hybrid format that combines online theory with weekly in-person hands-on labs.
Is the Esthetics Program offered online?
The theory portion is completed online, while practical skills are taught in person through the weekly lab sessions. This format was designed for students who need flexibility, whether that’s because of work, family, high school, or college commitments.
What advanced training is included in the Esthetics Program?
Quite a bit, actually. Unlike many schools that charge separately for advanced training, the Institute of Modern Beauty includes the following in your tuition: Advanced Waxing, Eyelash Extensions, Eyelash Lift and Tint, Brow Lamination, Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning, Chemical Peels, and Microneedling. These are not add-ons. They are part of the program.
When do classes start?
New classes begin each quarter. Because we limit class sizes to keep the learning experience personalized, we recommend reaching out early to reserve your seat before it fills.
Who do I practice services on?
You will invite family and friends to come in as models for complimentary services. They tend to be enthusiastic volunteers once they find out what they are getting for free.
Admissions Questions
How do I enroll?
The process is straightforward. You request information, schedule a campus tour, meet with an admissions advisor, choose your program, select a funding option, and complete your enrollment paperwork. Our team walks you through each step.
Do I need prior experience? Do I need a high school diploma?
No to both. Our programs are built to take students from the ground up, and many people start with no background in esthetics or beauty services at all. If you have the drive, we have the structure to get you where you want to go.
Can I attend school while working full-time?
Yes. The hybrid format of our Esthetics Program was specifically designed with this in mind. Students who work full-time, have families, or are still in high school or college complete the theory portion on their own schedule and attend in-person labs weekly.
Can high school students enroll?
Yes. Students must be 16 years or older, and dual-enrollment opportunities may be available where permitted. Contact our admissions team to talk through eligibility for your specific situation.
Funding and Tuition Questions
What is the cost of the Esthetics Program?
Total tuition for the Esthetics Program is $10,500. That covers your full curriculum, practical labs, and hybrid access. It also includes all of the advanced certifications listed above, which many other institutions charge for separately. When you add up what is included, the value is significant.
What funding options are available?
Students can pick from Pay-in-Full Discounts, In House Payment Plans, Climb Credit Financing, Climb Future Funds, Workforce Funding through ETPL, and Scholarships. Our admissions advisor team works with each student individually to figure out which pathway matches their financial situation best.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Our in house payment plans allow students to stretch tuition across time, with monthly payments that stay manageable, and without needing any third-party lender involved.
What is Climb Credit?
Climb Credit is a financing partner that specializes in career-training loans. Qualified borrowers may be eligible for no money down, fixed monthly payments, flexible payment options, and no prepayment penalties. The application is completed online and the process moves quickly.
What is Climb Future Funds?
Climb Future Funds is a guaranteed approval financing option for students who may not qualify for traditional loans. It requires a qualifying down payment, but it gives students a clear path to enrollment when other financing routes have not worked out.
Are scholarships available?
Yes, scholarship opportunities pop up at different times during the year. Reach out to our admissions team and ask what is available right now, also confirm if you meet the eligibility requirements.
Certification and Licensing Questions
Will I receive certification after completing my program?
Yes. Students receive certificates of completion for eligible certification courses and are prepared to meet applicable state licensing requirements where required.
Are your programs state approved?

Advanced Certification FAQs
Do I need to be licensed to take advanced courses?
It depends on the course and your state’s regulations. Some advanced certifications require an esthetics license or a healthcare license. Our admissions team can help you determine what you need before you enroll.
Which advanced courses do you offer?
We offer Permanent Makeup, Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Manual Exfoliation, Cosmetic Injectables, Eyelash Extensions, and Advanced Esthetics Training.
Are certification courses hands-on?
Yes. Every certification program includes live demonstrations, hands-on practice, instructor coaching, and guided learning experiences. You will not just be sitting in a classroom watching.
Career Questions
What careers can I pursue after graduation?
Graduates go on to work in medical spas, day spas, dermatology offices, plastic surgery centers, wellness clinics, lash and brow studios, permanent makeup studios, and their own independent businesses. The range is broad, and a lot of that comes down to the depth of training students leave with.
Will the Institute of Modern Beauty help me find a job?
While we cannot guarantee employment, we provide career guidance, professional development support, and industry connections throughout the program to help students step into the workforce with confidence and real opportunities in front of them.
Is the beauty industry growing?
Yeah, consistently yes. In the last few years the beauty, skincare, wellness, and medical aesthetics industries have definitely grown a lot, and there is also more and more need for skilled, certified professionals in many different environments. People keep asking for that kind of expertise, so the demand stays high.
Campus and Student Life Questions
Can I tour the campus before enrolling?
Absolutely, and we encourage it. A personal campus tour gives you the chance to meet instructors, see the classrooms and treatment rooms, and get a real feel for the environment before you make a decision.
Are classes small?
Yeah, intentionally. Keeping class size small is something we take seriously because it directly affects the quality of instruction that each student gets, and it matters more than people think at first glance. Smaller classes mean more hands-on time, more direct feedback, and a learning experience that actually feels personal.
What makes the Institute of Modern Beauty different?
A lot of beauty schools try to cover everything. We focus specifically on Esthetics, Advanced Esthetics, Medical Aesthetics, and Advanced Skincare, and that focus shows in the depth of the training, the expertise of the instructors, and the kinds of careers our graduates go on to build. Students leave with a competitive edge that a broader, less specialized program cannot offer in the same way.
Still Have Questions?
